Filipino Self Protection Class

This class specializes in Filipino Martial Arts coming from the Hock Hochheim Modern Arnis Lineage coupled with Hocks own police style baton work. Hock also worked with Terry Gibson (JKD) who worked with Guro Dan Inosanto (JKD). So we have a strong Kali Influence. Then Hock took all the material(along with other systems), and put a personal modification to it all. This was based on Hocks experience of being a police officer. So he made a course that contained training for the Civillian, Military and Police. Thus we now have our curriculum. Hock being a police officer and a MP in the Army, saw things in the art that could be added, he then bridged Military, Civillian, and Police Self Protection.

This specialized class targets safety in the streets while learning Filipino Martial Arts. Self protection is not just about the physical aspects of conflict it's about Awareness, evaluation and Avoidance before fighting back. Some of the topics trained are Confrontation, de-escalation, fear control, adrenaline switches, Postures, action triggers, pre-emptive strikes, multiple opponents, weapons, line ups, aggression therapy. The idea in this class is to put you in the actual scenario. In this class you will learn how to deal with the emotional attacks as well as physical attacks. We address self protection very realistically. This class is a Full Contact Class. We do wear safety gear from time to time. We work outside of all comfort zones.
